PMINL Awards Selection Committee – Recruitment Information
The Project Management Institute Newfoundland & Labrador (PMINL) is seeking dedicated members to serve on the Awards Selection Committee for the upcoming PMINL Symposium. This committee plays a vital role in recognizing excellence in project management within our community by reviewing nominations and selecting award recipients.
Role Overview
Selection Committee members will review, score, and deliberate on nominations for PMINL awards, ensuring a fair and transparent process that reflects the highest professional standards.
Committee Composition
• 3–5 members in total. (Minimum 3)
• At least one PMINL Board Member (not in conflict for any award).
• At least one Past Award Recipient or Distinguished PMINL Member.
• At least one Member-at-Large with recognized project management experience.
Eligibility to Serve
• Must be a current PMI & PMINL member in good standing.
• Cannot nominate themselves or be nominated for any award in the same year.
• No direct reporting relationship, business partnership, or close personal relationship with any nominee.
• Must declare and recuse themselves from any awards where a conflict of interest exists.
Key Responsibilities
• Review nomination packages based on the published judging criteria.
• Independently score each nomination before group discussion.
• Participate in committee deliberations to determine finalists and winners.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all nomination materials and committee discussions.
• Submit final recommendations to the PMINL Board for approval.
Code of Conduct
• Adhere to PMI’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
• Treat all nominees with fairness, impartiality, and respect.
• Base all decisions solely on the published judging criteria.
