Due Date: July 7th
On September 16, 2026, the Project Management Institute (PMI) Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter will host its annual Project Management Symposium in St. John's, NL. This year is profoundly special: we are celebrating our Silver Anniversary - 25 years of building, connecting, and advancing the project management community in our province and across Atlantic Canada.
From our oceans and infrastructure to mission-critical tech and local social enterprises, our region delivers projects under unique and demanding conditions. We are looking for dynamic speakers, thought leaders, and practitioners who can share real-world case studies, cutting-edge methodologies, and powerful leadership insights that equip today’s professionals to excel in an ever-changing environment.
Why Speak at the PMINL Symposium?
- High-Profile Visibility: Present to an audience of thriving businesses, executive leaders, and project managers representing marine/subsea engineering, IT, construction, healthcare, government, and more.
- Earn Professional Recognition: Establish yourself as a thought leader in the Atlantic Canada professional community.
- Expand Your Network: Connect deeply with other industry experts, companies, and change-makers during exclusive networking sessions and our landmark Silver Jubilee celebrations.
- Earn PDUs: Share knowledge while contributing back to the chapter, earning up to 6 PDUs.
This Year's Theme
We welcome proposals across a wide variety of industries, with particular interest in presentations that fit into our 2026 focal track "25 Years of Leadership, Innovation, and Impact". Please plan to have a presentation around 20 minutes followed by a 10-minute Q&A.
Speaker Eligibility Criteria
You do not have to be a PMI-NL member, nor do you need to hold a PMI certification to speak at the Symposium. The only criterion is for your presentation topic to be aligned to this year's theme "25 Years of Leadership, Innovation, and Impact." However, since this Symposium will be held only in-person with no virtual component, all speakers must participate in-person.
