The Project Management Symposium is a one-day event presented by Gardiner Centre in partnership with the Project Management Institute, NL Chapter. The Symposium features presentations from local project managers, leadership professionals, and business leaders – all aimed at equipping today's project managers with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the ever-changing project environment.

The Project Management Symposium is an opportunity for project managers and project team members to gain insight into local projects, as well as learn from project management professionals and trainers. It provides an excellent networking opportunity for participants to meet and talk with like-minded professionals from a variety of industries. In addition, participants will earn 6 PDUs.

We have an excellent line-up of speakers confirmed including our Keynote Address by Lisa Browne, CEO of Stella's Circle.  Lisa will speak about a Stella’s Circle initiative, Home to Stay, a project about Preventing Homelessness through Aging in a Community for Seniors with Complex Needs, and the important role that project management played in its success. She’ll discuss what worked well and the learnings.

You will also hear from local speakers who will share their project management experience from a variety of sectors:

  • Victoria Etchegary, City of St. John’s
  • Deirdre Ayre, Other Ocean
  • Brian Vallis, Piatto

Craig Matthews, Gardiner Centre, will also deliver a session on Leading with Emotional Intelligence.
