Linear Project Services Inc (LPS) and its associates are pleased to provide an upcoming presentation to the NL Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMINL) on Wednesday, 01Mar2023, at 7:30pm (NST).

 

Title:

Project Change Management & Control

 

Presentation Outline:

Ø  The discussion will open with an overview of general Project Change Management & Control approaches potential change impacts, and why systematic Change Management processes are critically important.

Ø  The Change topic will then focus on how Professional Engineering roles are unique on Project Teams, with Project Changes typically being one of their many special areas of concern.

Ø  An interesting industry view of Change Management will then be presented in the context of Ship to Ship (STS) transfers. It will summarize how a Management of Change (MOC) is required for safe and effective industrial process changes.

Ø  Summary, Questions, Wrap-Up.

 

Presenters:

(1) J R (Ric) Massie, PE, PMP (Houston, TX):

Ric is Senior Executive Consultant of DLJ Engineers & Consultants. He is an associate of LPS and has more than 40 years of management of products, projects, manufacturing, operations, engineering, and construction. Ric's specialties in the Energy Sector include Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, Offshore, LNG, Hydrocarbons Processing and Technology.

(2) Capt. Paul Lee (Houston, TX, & St. John’s, NL):

Paul is an associate of LPS. He is originally from NL, a graduate of MUN Marine Institute, and now works out of Houston, TX.  He has over 30 years in the marine field worldwide, including the USA, Nigeria, Japan, Brunei, UK.  He is also a qualified instructor for various marine courses, including LNG Bunkering Operations, & STS (Ship to Ship) cargo transfer.

(3) Gary Kennedy, P. Eng., PMP (St. John’s, NL):

Gary is a Senior Project Manager, Civil Engineer, and President of LPS Inc in St. John’s, NL. He has over 30 years of experience in offshore, heavy civil, refining, mining, telecommunications, marine, airport, and other sectors. He is a Charter Member of the PMINL Chapter launched in 2001, has served as a Director on the PMINL Board, and has served as a Knowledge Management Lead  with PMIHQ on an Energy, Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Committee.
