What is Women in Project Management ?
Women in Project Management (WiPM) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to supporting women and people who identify as women who are working in, transitioning into, or aspiring toward project management roles.
WiPM creates opportunities for connection, mentorship, learning, and professional growth through events, shared experiences, and peer support.
Our focus is on building confidence, developing leadership skills, and increasing visibility for women and people who identify as women in project management across Newfoundland and Labrador.
Why We Exist
Many women and people who identify as women are already managing projects in their workplaces but often lack formal titles, access to certification pathways, mentorship, or professional networks.
Systemic barriers, career interruptions, confidence gaps, and limited representation can make advancement feel out of reach.
WiPM exists to help bridge this gap.
- Provide mentorship and guidance at every career stage
- Encourage professional development and certification
- Foster meaningful connections within the local PM community
- Amplify voices and increase representation in leadership
- Create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and growth
